Charging Privacy Notice
At a glance
Some of our charging stations have cameras. Images are kept for 45 days.
When you charge, we use your name, contact details and charging data to run and invoice the service, and to improve it.
Camera images and visitor registration are based on our legitimate interest in security. Invoicing is based on your contract with us and on accounting law.
You can object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Contact: dataprotection@einride.tech.
1. Who is responsible for your personal data
Einride AB, reg. no. 559074-8926, is the data controller for the processing described here at our charging stations in Sweden (the station in Bleiswijk, Netherlands, is run by Einride Technologies Netherlands B.V.). Monta ApS provides the charging app and portal and is a separate controller for the data in its own app, website and portal (see monta.com).
2. What we collect and where it comes from
Camera images (photo and video) at stations that have cameras.
Entry code (RFID), and name and employer when needed to investigate an incident, for the Drivers house.
Name, invoice address, MAC address of the vehicle or charger connection and charging data, from you and from the charging app. Depending on how you pay, we see more or less: with a payment card or an app wallet (Google Pay, Apple Pay) you can charge without an account; the app, an RFID tag or the vehicle’s MAC address (AutoCharge) link charging to a customer account, which companies can pay by monthly invoice.
For companies that sign up for a free company account (called Einride Pro on our website): contact persons, the drivers and vehicles the company adds, and access to the driver lounge through the charge key.
When you contact support by phone, a short written report of the call.
Giving us the data needed to charge and be invoiced is required to use the service. Camera images are collected automatically for security.
3. Why we use your data, on what basis, and for how long

4. Camera surveillance
Stations with cameras are Rosersberg, Eskilstuna, Borås, Varberg, Helsingborg and Norrköping. Some camera angles may by nature include a small part of the surroundings. A sign at each station tells you about the cameras, states the retention period and points to this notice. Images are stored on our own servers. Only authorised staff and our service providers for camera service can view them, and only when an alarm or incident requires it. Logs of who viewed the images are kept as security logs.
5. Who receives your data
Service providers that work on our behalf (processors) are not named here. They provide camera installation and support, alarm and guard services, customer support for people who charge, and cloud and analytics tools. They may only use your data on our instructions.
Separate controllers (last column of the table): Monta ApS, the police and other authorities, where we must or may share data, for example to report a crime.
6. Transfers outside the EU/EEA
We process charging and camera data in the EU/EEA. If an Einride company or provider outside the EU/EEA ever needs access, we use the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses or a provider certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
7. Automated decisions
We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
8. Your rights
Access to your personal data, and a copy of it.
Correction of data that is wrong or incomplete.
Erasure, or restriction of our use, in the cases the law allows.
Objection to processing based on our legitimate interest. We then stop unless we have compelling reasons.
Data portability for data you gave us and that we process by contract or consent.
If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country. In Sweden this is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY, imy.se).
