What do you see as one of the most important trends for 2023?

The convergence of technologies such as artificial intelligence & machine learning, with massive amounts of democratized data, is providing more than insights for industries. The trend is accelerating actionable change across the dimensions of connectivity, sustainability and social responsibility for stakeholders of any organization and allowing for improvement in performance at scale.

What does "Make intelligent moves" mean to you?

It means to bring both efficiency and efficacy to supply chains. So much effort has focused on the cliché “doing things right” and now we can combine it with “doing the right things” in order to find solutions that are sustainable, responsible as well as cost effective. We know that much of transport has been routed in transactional relationships that are grounded in asymmetric information, however with more connected assets and the technologies capable of ingesting more data, we can build more transparent partnerships based upon data, converted to information, transformed to insights that lead to intelligent actions.

Where do you see your company/industry in 10 years?

At Wallenius Wilhelmsen, we will lead the way in transforming shipping and logistics for autos and equipment by becoming the leading and most sustainable supply chain and mobility orchestrator.
