Einride recruits from Uber, Volvo Car Mobility and DHL
2021.01.19
Stockholm, Sweden - In 2020, transport tech company Einride initiated partnerships with several well-known brands such as Oatly, Coca-Cola European Partners and Lidl. The team is now being strengthened with heavy industry names from Uber, Volvo Car Mobility (M) and DHL.
Kalle Persson, former Development Manager at iZettle and Head of Product at Volvo Car Mobility (M), joins the company as Chief Product Officer (CPO). Malena Heed, former Head of PR and Sustainability at iZettle and Communications Manager for Uber Nordics, takes on the role of Communications Director. Joakim Jansch, with over 30 years of experience from leading positions within DHL and the international logistics industry, assumes the role of Sales Director Sweden.
“We set the global speed record and were the first in the world to drive an electric, autonomous truck on public roads, so technically there is no doubt that we are world leaders. Now it is up to us to maintain this role in the tech landscape and at the same time switch up commercially, something this group of outstanding new recruits affords us,” says Robert Falck, CEO and founder of Einride.
Einride, which in addition to self-driving Pods also has Europe's largest fleet of electric heavy trucks, offers a platform for sustainable and cost-effective shipping.
“Einride has in a short period of time made an impressive mark on the industry. I look forward to working with the team to show that the transition to more sustainable and cost-effective shipping can easily begin today,” says Kalle Persson.
