We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join the cross functional Vehicle Intelligence team, which consists of Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Backend Engineers and Battery Specialists. At Einride we structure our data according to the data mesh philosophy, where the owners of every system are responsible for serving and ensuring the quality and fitness of their data products.
The Vehicle Intelligence team is the owner of the vehicle domain and manages one of our most strategic data assets, the vehicle telematics data.

Some of the responsibilities of the Vehicle Intelligence team:
- Build integrations used for collecting real time vehicle data.
- Clean and serve vehicle data to the organization to be used for both analytical and real time purposes.
- Create and serve higher level data products such as energy consumption machine learning models.
As a Data Engineer in the team you will:
- Be responsible for building data pipelines that serve clean, quality tested vehicle telematics data to the rest of the organization in an appropriate form, to be used in applications, machine learning and business reports.
- Work with external and internal data consumers to understand and predict their needs in terms of data sets
- Develop strategy and architecture for collecting, organizing and leveraging data
- Develop advanced knowledge and become a goto person with regards to data engineering craftsmanship at Einride
We expect that you:
- Have experience in working hands-on with real-world datasetsAre fluent in modern, cloud-native data engineering tools. We use Google BigQuery, dbt, Terraform and Google Pub/Sub among others. See our tech radar for more information about our toolchain.
- Have experience with some general-purpose programming language such as Python, Java or Go
- Are eager to champion data engineering and help your colleagues learn
- Have experience in constructing efficient data pipelines to deliver meticulously processed and quality-tested vehicle telematics data to internal stakeholders, in a format optimized for organizational usage
Ideally you also bring:
- Experience with data engineering and data architecture in Google Cloud Platform
- Experience from setting up data flows that provide automated verification and error handling
