Einride is growing exponentially and we are looking for a Fleet Tech Associate to join our Tech organization. You will oversee maintenance of our autonomous electric vehicles and SW systems, calibrations, and on-going IT systems troubleshooting.
In addition to the Fleet Tech Associate responsibilities, this role will also specifically contribute to the Tech Operations team. The Tech Operations team is responsible for safe operations, intelligent planning, and thoughtful execution of our AET platform.
Responsibilities:
- Take the lead in understanding, communicating, and resolving any vehicle issues related to safety, hardware, software, or maintenance
- Collaborate with software/hardware engineers, technicians, program managers, fleet managers, and Remote Pod Operators to ensure that our onsite fleet is well-maintained
- Ensure procedures are followed and checklists completed on a daily and weekly basis with proper escalation procedures as necessary
- Respond to onsite emergency situations with composure utilizing Einride developed procedures
- Ability to adhere to schedule of operating times, including some weekends and evenings
- Safely monitor the Einride vehicle during operations
- Ability to communicate and interface with the customer in person
- Uphold Einride’s safety culture
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or Trade School or 4 years of equivalent practical experience
- 1 to 2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience with basic aptitude of mechanical and electrical systems
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, run IT diagnostics
- Ability to lift no more than 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Able to travel; onboard at our R&D facility located in Gothenburg, Sweden, travel twice per calendar year for recurring training
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Ability to relocate to the Selmer, TN surrounding area for at minimum 8 months
- Travel required up to 40%
- Valid driver’s license
Nice to have:
- Experience with autonomous, electric, or heavy vehicles
- Experience with high voltage / DC electrical systems
- Experience working on pneumatic systems
